COOK&CORK | Noche de Ofrenda A Dia de los Muertos Culinary Experience. Join us for an unforgettable culinary journey into the heart of Mexican tradition with "Cook & Cork: Noche de Ofrenda." This immersive cooking class is a celebration of Dia de los Muertos, a vibrant and meaningful holiday that honors loved ones who have passed away. Experience the richness of Mexican culture as we come together to create a menu that pays homage to this cherished tradition. Discover the significance of ofrendas (altars), calaveras (sugar skulls), marigold flowers, and papel picado (colorful paper decorations) as we discuss the customs and beliefs that make this holiday so unique and touching. Mexican ofrendas are a powerful expression of love and remembrance. They symbolize the belief that, during Dia de los Muertos, the boundary between the living and the deceased is blurred, allowing for a special connection with those who have passed away. These beautiful altars are a testament to the enduring bonds of family and the celebration of life even in the face of death. Menu: Atole Mexican Rice Mole Pan de Muerto & because everything tastes better with wine, Cook&Cork is BYOB (bring your own bottle) so you can cook & relax in our kitchen. - Cook&Corks are BYOB (Bring Your Own Bottle). - Students must be 21 years or older to consume any alcohol. - $95 per person. - Tips for our staff are not required but are greatly appreciated. - Please note that we do not offer refunds but honor a 48 hour cancellation policy in order to reschedule your reservation. - No dietary restrictions or allergies will be accommodated for these classes. - Class size is limited to 14 people. Reservations are based on a ‘first come-first serve’ basis. - Wear comfortable clothes and closed-toed shoes. If you have long hair, be sure to tie it behind your head. - Students will receive a full copy of recipes.
