TEXAS CULINARY INSTITUTE GASTRONOMY IN SPAIN CUSTOM FACULTY-LED SUMMER PROGRAM 2023 IN SEVILLE, SPAIN The Center for Cross-Cultural Study (Spanish Studies Abroad) and Texas Culinary Institute hereby enter into an agreement to develop an Academic Program in Seville, Spain, for October 1-9th, 2023 in accordance with the following terms: Dates: October 1-9th, 2023 (9 nights) A comprehensive, customized cultural travel program in Spain including local study visits, diverse cultural activities and bilingual on-site support. Participants have the unique opportunity to experience Spanish culture. ACADEMIC PROGRAM AND CULTURAL ACTIVITIES ▪ On-site program orientation session with welcome packets ▪ Cultural guided visits in Seville including entrance fees to the Cathedral of Seville, Plaza de España & M. Luisa Park, Royal Palace (Alcazar) & walking tour of Jewish Quarter, and Fine Arts Museum ▪ Day trip to Granada including entrance fees to the Royal Chapel and the Alhambra Palace with Generalife Gardens ▪ Day trip to Cordoba including entrance fees to the Mosque-Cathedral and a synagogue ▪ Custom culinary course with Taller Andaluz de Cocina with the following content: - Five (5) sessions of hands-on Spanish cooking classes, including 3 recipes per session, with 2 drinks per person with lunch. - Five (5) complementary activities (one per session) that could be a visit to the market, making sangria, olive tasting, oil tasting and cheese tasting. *All visits and activities listed above will be conducted in English. MEALS ▪ Welcome dinner at local restaurant TRANSPORTATION ▪ Ground transportation when necessary for all included study trips, excursions and visits listed above ▪ Airport transfer NOT included OTHER PROGRAM INCLUSIONS ▪ Worldwide Health Insurance through CISI for the duration of the program ▪ Full time local Group Leader accompaniment for visits and activities listed above ▪ 24/7 emergency support from on-site Resident Director in Seville, including staff-accompanied visits to clinics on request ▪ For one accompanying staff member ▪ Tips for included restaurants, and transportation *AIRFARE NOT INCLUDED
